Markie is a pretty and very kind angel. She has pure white hair and an open friendly face with very intense sapphire-blue eyes that have a mesmerising affect on people-especially human males! Markie realises this and uses her gaze to devastating affect when necessary. She is always smiling.

Markie prefers to wear blue. Its her favourite colour. It reminds her of the sky. She also wears a short white skirt. So short in fact that it annoys her younger sister quite a bit!

Markie’s most distinctive feature however are her wings. She’s one of the very few angels to have dark wings. Hers are pure black. As some angels judge each others purity by the colour of their wings, this has caused poor Markie to be ostracised all her long life and made life very hard for her. Her sister never misses a chance to run her down because of it.

Markie has been around for a VERY long time.  She’s seen worlds form and fall apart.  Time has little meaning to her anymore.  She grew up alongside Krista (poor cow!) and suffered for years at her hands even though she was the older sister due to Krista’s unending teasing and criticism and prejudice because of her dark wings.  This drove them apart in the last years of their education.

Once on her own Markie bloomed into a fine young angel. She was lucky enough to secure a position with a fine old angel who took her under his wing (literally) and supported her through her career. Markie’s talent and intelligence caused her to rise quickly through the ranks-to a point. Sadly her black wings prevented her from rising to a high enough position to match Krista.

Markie was on assignment to the deeper reaches of the cosmos when the Great War was being fought and missed out on doing any real fighting. She doesn’t regret this although the massive loss of life saddened her greatly. She really came into her own after the war when every hand was needed to rebuild-no matter what the colour of their wings!

Markie was lucky enough to choose her own assignment and to the amazement of many chose Felarya! She’d fallen in love with the world during her travels. Krista was quick to spread the rumour that her sister was addicted to eating people! This damaged Markie’s career a great deal!

Cast out from society once again-Markie spent several centuries roaming Felarya and interacting with the locals. She set up camp in an abandoned temple in the Bulvon Woods. She’s seen most of the more famous residents of Felarya but only really met a few face to face. (Markie prefers to remain invisible if she can. She doesn’t like it when people fall on their faces and start worshipping her!)

Markie has been watching over the world of Felarya for a few centuries now and has learned she can’t save everybody! She’s never tried vore but she HAS been tempted. She’s just waiting for the right person.

Recently Markie has been given charge of her sister Krista. She pulled a lot of strings to get that assignment. She knows if she can’t show Krista the error of her ways that Krista will suffer a fate worse than death for an angel-becoming human

Markie loves anything cute and fluffy!  She’s been known to go out of her way to save any nekos she sees in trouble.  She’s also very found of travel and meeting new people and making friends.  She loves a good joke too (so long as its not on her)  and ADORES music and poems.

As a close friend of mine discovered recently, Markie is very partial to fine wine and roses-white for preference. She also shares her younger sister’s love of honey-although she prefers Clover while Krista likes Manuka. Markie also enjoys Doris Plum Jam too!

One thing Markie hates with a passion is intolerance. She believes VERY firmly that people should be judged individually by their actions-NOT by their race. Not that she’s an idiot of course. For example, she’s very polite to Menyssan whenever the two of them meet and refrains from any insults towards her but-she won’t get within grabbing range! (Menyssan’s reputation precedes her!)

Markie is also firmly against cruelty in any form. She’s very quick to step in and put a stop to it too!

Friends and Enemies

Markie considers most people she meets to be her friends. She’s very likeable. (Krista says gullible!)

In particular, Markie is an old friend of Vivian’s. They met when one of Vivian’s spells accidentally hit her and knocked out her invisibility. Happily Vivian had eaten and was full otherwise I don’t know what would have happened. (Menysann tells me angels are delicious!) The two of them got off to a firm friendship.

Markie has also been watching Crisis and Anna for a while now. She’d like to appear to them but Crisis scares her a little with her obvious speed and power. Anna interests Markie a lot. Markie secretly pities her being transformed into a naga suddenly like that and has even “adverted” several disasters from befalling her without Anna’s knowledge. Markie has other reasons for keeping an eye on Anna too which she tell me are in the nature of a favour to another of her friends! ^_^

Markie still kept in touch with Zoekin even after being released from her contract with him and knows Katrika and Katherine by sight. Tanya knows her too and sometimes summons her when she has need of a messenger or knowledge of the Upper Planes. (That’s not often. Tanya is allergic to the dust from angel feathers and gets VERY sick in the presence of Markie.)

Markie is currently watching over the Giantess Jade. She approves of her goal to protect travellers to Felarya and lends a hand when she can.

Markie has a nodding acquaintance with the demi-god Quetzal and has met her a few times both in Felarya and once on Earth.

As for enemies-Markie has very few. As stated, she doesn’t get within striking distance of Menyssan or Arale and she doesn’t turn her back on a few Dridder High Priestesses either. But that’s just common sense!

Markie isn’t very found of Anko. The big River Mermaid gulped her down once like a trout taking a mayfly as she skimmed the surface of the Jewel River. Good thing Markie can teleport out of most bellies. Anko was VERY annoyed when her stomach suddenly emptied!

It should be said that Markie has no illusions about her sister Krista. She knows very well what she is. She has no time for her sisters nonsense.

NOTE: Markie is nice but there’s steel behind her smile. She’s quite capable of cracking heads when the situation calls for it!
