A huge river, stretching to four times the length of the map. It's also very wide: you can barely see the other side when you stand on the shores. Like its name says, it is filled with treasure. The riverbed is literally covered by jewels and gems. For mysterious reasons, their quantity seems to never diminish, no matter how many greedy treasure hunters come to grab them. The river also has plenty of jewel fish, a usually legendary creature whose skin is worth more than diamonds in some worlds

The river and its surrounding are home to a wide range of colorful and shimmering fauna, often very beautiful. But of course, that doesn't make it less dangerous and gluttonous than in the rest of Felarya...

Underwater Crystal Caves

For those few brave souls who actually risk swimming in the river, their destination is typically the legendary Crystal Caves. While the process that created them is not understood, the properties of many of the types of crystals that are found there presents treasure seekers with no lack of motivation to visit them. Some of the crystal varieties that are found there can heal wounds, read minds, endow the user with incredible power, create gateways, or even bring the dead back to life.

However, the caves the teeming with many untold horrors and monsters, many mutated by their many long centuries in contact with the crystals of the Crystal Caves. Those who have survived encounters tell of beasts or even intelligent beings covered totally or partially covered in growths of crystals. In some cases, the being in question was something they might normally see above ground, such as a naga or even a human. Many of these beings now exhibit great powers, no doubt powered by the crystals. However, some theorize that these beings may not infact be individuals anymore, but rather drones working for some sort of intelligence.

An ancient tablet, discovered in the ruins of Ur-Sagol make reference to the fact that the Crystal Cave itself is some sort of crystalline entity. It talks about crystal covered beings bringing sacrifices to a large crystal deep within the cave, which would then open up like a maw and devour the victim. The digested person would then become pure energy, which would be distributed among the network of living crystals. The tablet doesn't go into much more detail, but it describes how sometimes the large crystal would not devour the sacrifice, but turn it into a mindless slave to do it's bidding.
