Sphinxes are a proud and regal race. The torso and head of a human fused with the lower body of a lion; Sphinxes are truly awe inspiring. they often have long hair and intently passionate eyes. They are surprisingly emotional, switching modes at dizzying speeds however, they are also very intelligent and think very logically.
They are often used as symbols of justice because Sphinxes seem to hold that value dear. often they act as judge jury and executioner in matters they see fit to preside over. this makes them sort of defenders and bullies at the same time.
