Cults and religions of Felarya :

Cult of Minalca

Minalca is the main goddess of luck in Felarya. Her protection is obviously very sought and her cult is flourishing. Her priests are usually former adventurers who survived the dangers of Felarya and decided to drop their dangerous profession afterwards, hence the common Felaryan saying : "If I ever get out of this one, I swear I become a Minalca priest !"

To spread their faith, Minalca priests will gladly relate many stories and tales from their adventures and how they were ( presumably ) saved by the goddess. They easily captivate their audience this way, giving the cult an easy going reputation and a great popularity.

Disciples of Kallisti the Dark Goddess

A recent but expanding cult in Felarya. The followers of Kallisti are well organized and very fervent. Kallisti actually came several time on Felarya in person and many saw the beautiful goddess, which sure helped a lot the cult to spread ^^

The disciples of Kallisti are under the direct and watchful protection of Saya, a giant naga, and thus *somehow* protected from several other giant predators such as Vivian or the dreaded Crisis as well.

The cult is at odd with the worshippers of Othem. This is a bit one sided though : Contrary to Kallisti, Othem has never been seen on Felarya, making his faith spreads a lot slower, and countless Othemites zealots ended in Saya's stomach.

Overall the cult of Kallisti is rather peaceful. The followers seek dark souls to feed to their goddess and practice many rituals, some of them highly sexual. A thing to be expected when you worship a succubus ! The disciple receive in return a solid protection and for the most devout, powers granted by Kallisti.

full description of the cult

Doctrine of the Sun God

The cult worships Othem, the radiant god, king of all suns. The cult is extremely powerful on many worlds, not much on Felarya. The Othemites seek to establish the doctrine of Othem in all Felarya cities, which is one of absolute order, justice and obedience, the only way for humans to defeat the chaos that represent the rest of Felarya and its predators.

Othemites are technologically advanced and have grown so powerful on certain worlds that they tend to take all things granted and can't stand any opposition to their plans. They use all means that seem necessary to them, including inquisition, torture, and intimidation, and are widely seen on Felarya as a bunch of dangerous, self-righteous fanatics.

They declared war on the disciples on Kallisti for befriending a giant naga, which they considers creatures of the night and of great unholyness ( mostly because they tried to convert some nagas as well and got eaten for their troubles ^^ )

Followers of Khord

A discrete but powerful cult. Khord is the god of the night, thieves, luck, gamblers and adventurers. Its influence is hard to measure as its disciples are master of deception and make and habits of hiding this part of their life. A harmless and jolly bartender you see everyday could be one of its leaders for what you know..

The cult is mysterious and secretive, with unknown purposes, but rather peaceful. Every sane persons, however, know better than upsetting the followers of Khord. Even the Othemites decided it was wiser to left them alone after several of their highest priests vanished in one night without leaving any trace..

Seekers of Sineria

A very small - but not powerless - group. Seekers of Sineria are humans, usually enlisted by dridders for various reasons, whose role is to seek rumors, scan human lore about the location of the tomb of Sineria the dridder queen.

These agents of dridders receive an extremely harsh training in stealth and assassination techniques. Few ever survive the process, but those who do are held in high regard among dridders and are under their entire protection. A dridder killing a seeker of Sineria commits an atrocious sin against his race and has better have an excellent reason...

The predator trinity

Three goddesses worshipped by giant elves, centaurs and some fairies. Very little is known about them but they are :

- Calvabrina : She is represented as a slender and tall dark green centauress. She is the goddess of the hunt and patience.

- Mhorn : She is represented as a lascivious four-armed naga. She is the goddess of the feast.

- Luban : She is represented as a scarlet elf with a curvaceous body and a bloated belly. She is the goddess of digestion.
